'Henson has almost single-handedly ushered the Welsh game out of the age of scrubbed-scalp, gap-toothed boyos into the new one of Cool Cymru' Observer
Gavin Henson was born in the South Wales town of Pencoed in 1982. From a classic Welsh rugby background - both his grandfather and father played for Maesteg - he made his full debut for Wales against Japan in 2001 and has 14 caps for his country, playing at inside-centre. He plays his club rugby for Neath-Swansea Ospreys. Graham Thomas is a rugby journalist who works for BBC Sport. He collaborated with Phil Bennett on the Welsh legend's acclaimed autobiography, first published by CollinsWillow in 2003.
